Pedal Cruise operates in rainy weather too. The vessel is covered by a canopy protecting passengers from above. Please use the link provided in your confirmation email, or shared by your cruise organizer, to complete the waiver online. Please note that paper waivers are not available and must be completed online.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"faq\">\n<dt>Can riders be under 21 years of age?<\/dt>\n<dd>Riders under the age of 21 are warmly welcomed on our cruises when accompanied by an adult or guardian. The minimum age requirement to participate on any of our cruises, whether public or private, is 5 years old. If there are passengers between the ages of 5 and 17 onboard, it is mandatory for them to be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian over the age of 25 for every 4 minors (ages 5-17) onboard.<br \/>\nTo ensure the safety of children aged 5-12, it is essential that they wear USCG approved life vests at all times while on the dock and the vessel for the entirety of the cruise. The child&#8217;s parent or guardian is responsible for providing a children&#8217;s USCG approved Type I, Type II, or Type III life vest that is appropriate for the child&#8217;s age, weight, and height.<br \/>\nPlease note that inflatable items, floaties, swimmies and similar accessories are not permitted as substitutes for the approved life vests.<\/dd>\n<dt>Do we tip the Captain &amp; First Mate?<\/dt>\n<dd>Yes please! We encourage guests to tip the Captain &amp; First Mate since they rely on it to pay their bills. Suggested tip for Private Cruises: $200-300 and $10-15 per person for Group Cruises.<\/dd>\n<dt>How does the boat move?<\/dt>\n<dd>The boat moves by pedal power which harnesses a water paddle at the rear of the boat, so get ready for fun exercise!! We also have a motor so you can relax as well.<\/dd>\n<dt>Are there any stops on the cruise?<\/dt>\n<dd>Most cruises bring guests out to scenic Stamford Harbor as it enters the Long Island Sound and routes may change depending on weather and water conditions.\u00a0 If conditions warrant, cruises may be restricted to staying in the inner harbor. Our cruises do not go past the Outer Reach of Stamford Harbor.<\/dd>\n<dt>How many seats are there?<\/dt>\n<dd>There are 12 pedaling seats and 10-12 bench seats. There is also some standing room and all guests are asked to share the time at different seating areas if another passenger has not had a chance to experience that area. It&#8217;s fun to move around!<\/dd>\n<dt>Can we bring our dog?<\/dt>\n<dd>Public Cruises must remain dog-free, however well behaved dogs are welcome on Private Cruises.\u00a0 We suggest bringing a water bowl &amp; food for these furry adventurers. (required)<\/li>\n<li>Life vests for any children aged 5-12 years old.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>    Suggested:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Drinks &#8211; beer, wine, hard seltzers, ciders, canned cocktails and the like are suggested. Please avoid bringing glass on board. Only guests 21 years of age or older may bring or consume alcoholic beverages. Don\u2019t forget some water!<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Ice &#8211; we do not provide ice<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Snacks &#8211; keep in mind it can be breezy on the boat<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Cups, utensils, plates, napkins, etc &#8211; we do not carry these onboard, so please bring what you need and consider bringing reusable items to help the environment and reduce trash.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Decorations &#8211; decorations that can be tied or weighted down (remember, it gets windy) and do not obscure the Captain&#8217;s view are welcomed, no balloons or stringed decorations will be allowed.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Depending on the time of year and weather, don\u2019t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, rain poncho or jacket!<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Please recognize that Pedal Cruise is not responsible for lost or stolen items, items left behind either on the boat, at stops or in between. We do our best to remind our customers to remember their items before they leave.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>What should we not bring on the boat?<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">No firearms or other weapons<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Smoking and vaping is not allowed onboard, per USCG regulations.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">No balloons\u00a0 or confetti- for the sake of our local wildlife and waterways, we need to ensure all decorations remain on the boat and out of the water or sky.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>How long is the boat cruise?<\/dt>\n<dd>Cruises last 90 minutes unless indicated otherwise.<\/dd>\n<dt>Are there any special rates for boat riders?<\/dt>\n<dd>Keep an eye out for special rates on our social media: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pedalcruiseconnecticut\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pedalcruisepedalcruiseconnecticut\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram.<\/a><\/dd>\n<dt>Is there storage on the boat?<\/dt>\n<dd>While we\u00a0 have small coolers for beverages but we do not have storage areas for large items. We suggest bringing only items that can fit in a small bag or the coolers.<\/dd>\n<dt>Where do we park?<\/dt>\n<dd>Free parking can be found at the Harbor Point Garage at 855 Pacific Street, Stamford, CT 06902 located between Washington Blvd &amp; Harbor Point Rd. Other parking options include street parking and the lot at 200 Washington Blvd. We highly encourage using Uber, Lyft &amp; taxi services, as well as the Metro North Train, a 15 min walk to the meeting location. Be prepared to walk 10-15 minutes to get to our meeting place. We suggest planning to drop off people and supplies in advance prior to parking.<br \/>\nOur waiting area is located at 1 Harbor Point Rd, Stamford, CT 06902 down the steps and under the blue canopy. You&#8217;ll see Pedal Cruise signs along the way. Our staff will let you and your group down to the boat through a locked gate when the boat is ready for boarding. Please do not enter through the gate without a Pedal Cruise staff member since it is private property.<\/dd>\n<dt>What if I am running late?<\/dt>\n<dd>We strongly recommend planning to arrive at least 30 minutes early for your scheduled cruise. For Public Cruises, the boat will leave on time (without you) out of respect for the other passengers and to maintain our schedule.\u00a0 For Private Cruises, we will wait to leave but it will shorten your time on the water since we need to stay on schedule.<\/dd>\n<dt>Do you provide tours for corporate groups, parties or celebrations?<\/dt>\n<dd>Yes we provide Private Cruises including corporate outings, team building, bachelorette parties and more for groups of up to 26 people.
